He was born in İzmit, in 1964. In 1987, he graduated from the graphic design department of Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts. In 1990, he finished his master’s degree and he did “Proficiency in Art” (equivalent to PhD) at same faculty. He has won 66 awards in national and international comics and printmaking competitions. He drew cartoons for many years in his column called “Çizdimgitti” in The Özgür Kocaeli Newspaper and for a while in the Cumhuriyet Kitap extra. He has four comic books. He draws cartoons and illustrations for Notos literary magazine and Food and Culture magazine. He continues to draw in his column called “Zıpçıktı” in The Kocaeli Newspaper. He currently works as a lecturer at Topkapı University Graphic Design Department.
